“I chose the ‘dirt pile’ location in Topanga Canyon, CA for its natural beauty and closeness to this artist enclave near Los Angeles. The location in Topanga was magical because it allowed me to be in a beautiful setting with some wonderful, sweet animals”.
The location near Ventura, CA was selected because of its solitude and ‘coastal feel’. “I enjoyed shooting at the grassy field because of the ocean breeze and the boarded up church reminds me that no matter how something may look, it can still have inner beauty and significance”.
Trip To Horizon Photos
The photo locations for Trip To Horizon were chosen to reflect the feeling of what the songs were about. “The journey from ‘Saints’ to ‘Trip’ was very much a trip that I didn’t know where I was headed but it just felt right, so we decided to do the photo session in a city location with a vintage car that really seemed like it had been on an amazing ride. I kept finding myself thinking how great it would be to be on the road, going from show to show in this beautiful car. It was almost like you could hear it telling its own story. What a blast.”
